Tommy Chong, half of the comedic stoner duo Cheech and Chong, revealed that he has prostate cancer during an interview with CNN Saturday.
Not too surprisingly, he's "treating it with hemp oil, with cannabis."
The actor was diagnosed with stage-one cancer last month that he says he's "had for a long time." He noticed symptoms eight years ago while in prison for selling drug paraphernalia. "I know it had nothing to do with cannabis," he explains, since his symptoms arose while he was drug-free for three years. "Cannabis is a cure."
Although the actor quit smoking marijuana a year ago "for health reasons," he did admit he is ingesting hemp oil "at night, so I won't be woozy all day," adding, "I'm taking it as a medicine."
